Tourist information for visitors to Crail

Visit Largo Law

Largo Law on a sunny day in May 2006 Standing like a sentinel waiting to welcome visitors to the East Neuk, Largo Law is an impressive sight. There is a marked path you can use to climb up the Law, which can be accessed from the car park in front of the cemetery at Upper Largo.

Cloudy Sky over Largo Law in May 2006 A board at the start of the walk informs visitors that Largo Law is in fact a volcanic plug, with the volcano having last been active some 300 to 350 million years ago. There are great views from the top over the Forth Estuary and the surrounding Fife countryside. The Law is some 290 metres high (about 965 feet).
